Yay!! I found or finally was able to get the picture of the back of CRV off Rylan's phone!!! Here it is....
The things you can see are...
1- 173 count diaper box
2- 86 count diaper box
3- plastic rubbermaid tub filled with baby food, a few kitchen gadgets, baby cereal, lotion, baby sunscreen, Rylan's hair trimmer & beard trimmer, baby soap, and the other things I can't remember off the top of my head... but it was filled! I remembered... A bunch of craft/school things that I can use with Alohi and a container that organize it all (glue, scissors, crayons, markers, etc.). And a drum music toy... laundry soap...
4- paper towel roll (there are a total of 3 in there & we brought things we would consume to leave more room on the way back)
5- blue foldable bin has more baby food; another consumable thing that will leave space on the return.
6- princess tea party toy. Alohi always has tea parties and wanted to have one with a few friends here. Po'okela likes to chew on the spoons and bang the spoons and cups together.
7 - the bin under the tea set is a bunch of medicine and medical things we might need while here.
8 - backpack has our travel needs and laptop
9 - diaper bag
(these last two items needed to be easily reached so we could get them in and out of the car. You might think we should have had these in the front, but you will soon find out what was there.)
The things you CAN'T see...
- 2 large spacesaver bags filled. One with all of Alohi's clothing and shoes and the other had pool & kid towels, along with a blanket for Po'okela
- 3 medium space saver bags filled... two of them had clothing for Po'okela (stuff he wears now and things he will grow into while we are here) and the other had clothing that I wanted to pass on to a friend.
- 1 cube sized space saver bag... it held both Rylan & my clothing along with slippers (for my mainland folks that is flip flops).
- two pillows... Rylan and I love our pillows and if we are anywhere for an extended period of time we don't go any where without them.
- Hoku's crate
- 2 pairs of running shoes, Rylan's dress shoes
- box of kleenex
- a sit and stand stroller
- cooler bag that folds up (Oklahoma is a hot place to be in the summer and this is a need for zoo lunches and picking up frozen/cold things.)
- breast pump bag & anything that goes along with that... bottles, liners, etc.
- a small bag of things for Hoku (brush, food for the road, treats, lease, etc.)
- a laundry basket that can fold kind of flat
I am sure that there was more that I can't remember right now, but overall my husband is my HERO for getting it all in the car. Yes it did take 3 tries, but it all made it here!!
Now in the backseat with the kids... Hoku road on the seat behind drivers seat, Po'okela had the middle with his rear facing carseat, & Alohi was in her carseat behind the passenger. At the feet part where Hoku sat was the diaper travel thing I create with a 31 bag (it held pretty much anything that you would keep near the changing station for your infant) and a beach bag of Po'okela's toys that I/Ry could easily reach from the passenger seat. Then there was a bin of pretzels (Rylan grew up traveling with pretzels and it is a must have on our road trips. I think it helps/helped with any possible road sickness.), our car's trash bin, then a bag full of more baby food (Po'okela eats a lot), and then Alohi had her travel bag of things she requested (iPad, bear, blanket, baby & a couple of books).
On the floor between driver/passenger seat we had a the good bag that our friends The Gwynn's had given us and on the floor of the passenger seat we had the snack bag.
I know this is ALOT of stuff and I am sure that we probably brought too much, but I think we did pretty good for packing 2 adults, 1 toddler, 1 infant & a dog. We did pack consumable things, to leave open space for things that would be purchased here in OKC. I already know that we have purchased different toys for the kids to play with, but shouldn't take too much space in the car. One toy blows up and the others are small that can be place in small hard to reach places. I have also purchased some clothing, but I plan on leaving any clothing that Po'okela out grows with someone who can use them.
I do want to take this time to thank The Davis's for letting us use their pack-n-play and high chair for Po'okela. B&T for the toys they have let us use for the kids and Alohi's first pink fishing pole and letting me come over to use anything I could need. Joanne & Carl for letting me use some of their extra kitchen stuff and taking care of Hoku while we are here in OKC.
You are like a packing scientist. This is a work of art. I am totally the same way about my pillow, I even bring one when we're going to a motel. Your kids are adorable!
