Happy B-Day Dr Suess

All week, I've been reading Dr Suess books for Alohi and Po'okela.  Monday we didn't do anything because we were at the Y daycare. Tuesday we read "would you rather be a bullfrog" and Alohi had tons of fun deciding the different things she wanted to be.  I had big dreams for Wednesday, but it didn't happen. Maybe next year I will set up "wacky" things around the house for Alohi to search for.  We read "Wacky Wednesday" with the Y daycare kids. They had so much fun searching for silly things! Thursday we went to the library for library time, where they read a book (I can't remember), watched a movie about one of the silly characters who wanted stars & changed out the cat's hat for different hats.  We love library time!! Then today we read another book and made some cat in the hat snacks!

Hope everyone had a great time reading!!

Sorry this picture is so blurry... the lights were off. Alohi is the purple jacket! There were at least 75 kids... I'll need to blog about our library here (4th in the nation!!) It is AWESOME!!

I love how realistic these snacks look because if you have every worn a cat in the hat, hat you will know that it can never stay on straight! All I did was add the frosting so it would stick, she did the rest!
