This week, while swimming at the pool. Po'o likes to pull up on the the metal rails for getting in. Well he went head first through the hole of the rails, causing a scratched cheek and a fat bloody lip. Thankfully I had already experienced the above and my heart didn't jump out of my chest like it did before and was able to handle the situation better. We got out of the water, dad brought another popsicle (which he wanted no part in) and he didn't want to be held. I am sure it was part that he was done being in the pool, hungry and tired. This picture just makes me so sad... His lip doesn't look as bad as it does now because it is fresh in this picture. He currently has a scab.

Bloody Nose and a busted lip
Well if the last two weeks injuries has any foreshadowing of what our future holds with a boy, then I know that there will be many more bumps, bruises, blood and Lord willing few trips to the emergency room. Before we left Scottsbluff, Po'o was riding his little scooter and went face first into the wood floors. I watched it happened and expected tons of tears and crying, but when I walked over to get him and his face is covered in blood a mothers heart stops. I scream for Rylan who is outside with Alohi getting ready to leave for the tire place (two nails in a tire), who doesn't hear me so I run to the door and scream for him, then take Po'o to the sink to wash the blood to determine where it is coming from. We find out that he has cut his mouth somewhere and his nose was bleeding. Got him calm as best as we could and got a popsicle out to help with swelling and bleeding. Nothing seemed to work, so I put him in the sink and started to fill it with water. He relaxed then and after playing in the sink for 10 or so minutes we got pjs on, snuggled on the recliner and stayed that way until bed. Here's a picture before we got into the sink.
I am sure all moms of boys out their has one story or more and I know I will have plenty more in the future. However my prayer will continue daily, please Lord keep my children save from bodily harm and spiritual harm. Keep watch over them and I place them in your hands. Amen.
